I have been wanting to set up an open forum for discussing PA (specifically school) topics for a long time.  This blog is my current best option.  All discussion is welcome in the comments section.  Please put a name (not necessarily your real one) when commenting so there can be some coherence to the discussion.  No need to fill the name and email box.

Hope you are successfull with this blog. It would be nice to have a forum free of the PC censoring of “Town Square”

    Best of luck!

    svatoid,

You’re right. We are big supporters of war crimes here at the Weekly. And we make a lot of money off of those who support them.

    • @svatoid/Anonymous – I am sorry it took me so long to respond.
My apologies – I did not realize that your comment was waiting for my moderation… When I started this blog I made sure that comments will show instantaneously. SPAM comments show every so often.
As it turns out, the interface of the blog platform has changed. I’ll have to figure this out. Meanwhile, I tried to made sure that both this page and the page dealing with censoring (Before and After) enable instantaneous commenting. The rest will take some time.

I’ll delete one of the comments as they are exactly the same. I could not find the comment you referred to.

      And here’s again to G. Orwell –

“…The sinister fact about literary censorship in England is that it is largely voluntary.
Unpopular ideas can be silenced, and inconvenient facts kept dark, without the need for any official ban.
Anyone who has lived long in a foreign country will know of instances of sensational items of news — things which on their own merits would get the big headlines-being kept right out of the British press, not because the Government intervened but because of a general tacit agreement that ‘it wouldn’t do’ to mention that particular fact.
So far as the daily newspapers go, this is easy to understand.
The British press is extremely centralised, and most of it is owned by wealthy men who have every motive to be dishonest on certain important topics….” G. Orwell.

  3. by the way, I endorsed Ken Dauber but will press him on his support of Pat Burt who I consider a bully.
I spoke at Ken’s swearing in, complaining that the Weekly was under-covering Gunn athletics – -I had meanwhile written about all 10 gunn football games and mentioned 2 exceptional scholar athletes, Kasznik and Imanaka.

I see that you don’t like Dauber.

  4. I actually do like Dauber. I still believe that he could have have done more as an outsider. I hope to be proved wrong.
