“This is the way they work. If they do not talk about it, maybe people will think that the problem does not exist.” – Ms. Mendoza , 10/19/13. Here is my take –

On 10/19/13 Ms. Mendoza commented on my open letter (link #1) saying – “This is the way they work. If they do not talk about it, maybe people will think that the problem does not exist.”

Here is part of my take:

  • On 12/3/2012 Social inclusion was the theme of PAUSD panel (link #2). If they do not talk about OCR investigation and  settlement most likely in the works then – maybe the OCR never came to  PAUSD?
  • On 10/8/2013   “Let’s cheer” reported his/her impressions from the board meeting (link #3). “Let’s cheer” wrote – “… and the only truth-teller in the crowd, Marielena Gaona, reminded the board that a student died from bullying at Terman and also that her “little angel” had to be repeatedly hit in order for the district to talk about bullying and special ed. None of the principals are smiling like they were before. Nor should they.” If they do not let anyone respond – thread locked, maybe this inconvenient discussion  will go away?
  • On Apr/2011 Palo alto High Math teachers addressed PAUSD board. If the letter was kept secret, maybe it was never written, signed and sent? I want to thank, again all  who were involved in bringing this  letter  to the public attention.
  • On  8/10/2012  Palo Alto high Math teacher was interviewed before the school year started and not asked about this letter. If the math teachers’ letter was not a worth while topic  to discuss, maybe it was never brought to the public’s short attention span? (link #4). I was “short memory? ” wondering, then.
  • If Curious’ informational threads were locked fast over and over, sometime without being able to comment even when logged in, maybe all Curious pointed to never really happened?

Thanks Village Fool’s for reminding us of the past issues with special education and their administrations. I have a dream, that one day they are going to take their jobs seriously and will not just show how powerful they are to stop IEP in the middle of the meeting because parents or lawyers have questions about how the student is doing in class. Looking back to the history, I see that things have not change much. It is if not worst at least the same than when Zepecky was here. Holly wade does not even take the time to reply to concerns about the people who work for her. She replies to the e-mails but completely out of the subject as if she did not read the written complain. Yes, she is probably thinking, if I do not mention it, he or she might forget about it. Sadly, but true. Thanks for keeping track of the issues.

  2. Thank you. Unfortunately it seems to me that generally the real estate take of a Hi-Tech executive is by far more interesting than the issues we are both concerned about, the issues that were only touched here and in the PA weekly edited/censored threads. The tip of the PAUSD iceberg.

I think the admin of this web site is genuinely working hard in support of his web page, because here every data is quality based data.
